Dog found in South Carolina with duct tape around head

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina authorities are still searching for those responsible for duct-taping a dog’s mouth shut.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office posted photos on its Facebook page asking for the public’s help.

Someone called in to say a dog was found walking around the 900 block of Rogers Road in Darlington with tape on its head and face.

Deputies were able to catch the dog and remove the tape safely. However, Aurora is being treated for heartworms and an infected paw.

The dog was taken to the Darlington County Animal Shelter for care and treatment.

Darlington is about 95 miles southeast of Charlotte.
