CORNELIUS, N.C. — Firefighters in Cornelius battled an early morning house fire that left the home severely damaged.
Firefighters from both Cornelius and Davidson got to the home along Floral Lane around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning and battled heavy flames.
Firefighters searched for people in the home but did not find anyone. Crews spent four hours at the scene before clearing.
It is unclear what led to the fire. Channel 9 is working to learn more.
