CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local family told Channel 9 it’s outraged over a Facebook page.
Jessica Landry said her daughter’s killer was posting to Facebook behind bars.
She said the picture staring back at her was Tanner Crolley, the man convicted of murdering her daughter Sierra Landry nearly two years ago.
She immediately called South Carolina's Department of Corrections to ask how this could happen.
"I'm like what is he really doing in prison?" she said. "Is he playing? How is he getting these phones? Who is he talking to? Is he talking to his loved ones every day to where we don't get to see ours?" she said.
Even though the person in the profile is much thinner and has more tattoos than Crolley did a few years ago, a department representative said it appears to be the same person and the department is investigating.
By the time Channel 9's story aired, the page had been removed.
