CMPD: Man knocked on door looking for help after shot in face

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating after they said someone broke into a man's home and shot him early Monday morning.

Officers determined that someone shot the man at his house in the 6800 block of Glenmoor Drive sometime before 1:45 a.m.

One man on Flintrock Road told Channel 9 that the victim knocked on his door and said that he had been shot in the face and arm and was asking for help.

Officers spoke to neighbors along Flintrock Road and Glenmoor Drive in northwest Charlotte after they were called to the scene.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

Police have not made any arrests in the shooting.
