Teens accused in carjacking lead police on chase across Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested two teens they said stole a woman’s car at gunpoint, then led officers on a chase in west Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.

Alfred Goodley, 17, and Harrison Hillman, 18, were arrested following the chase and will face a judge Thursday.

The pair face several charges, including robbery.

Chopper 9 captured video of CMPD officers chasing and eventually arresting the teens as they sped through Charlotte around 4:30 p.m., weaving along South Boulevard and onto Alleghany Street, where they jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run.

Investigators said the incident started on Sharon Road West in south Charlotte. A woman told officers that the pair held her at gunpoint and took her Toyota Solara. Officer spotted the car but the teens would not pull over and a chase ensued.

No one was hurt in the chase or robbery.

Channel 9 dug deeper into the past of both suspects and found they've been arrested several times.

Hillman has been arrested nine times in past two years for crimes like trespassing, assault, drugs and shoplifting. He was just released from jail last month.

Goodley had been arrested 10 times in two years for crimes like common law robbery, robbery with a dangerous weapon and resisting a public officer. He was released from jail in May.
