The investigation started around 1 a.m. when a couple found 25-year-old Deandre Olson lying on a driveway on Biesterfield Drive, near Beatties Ford Road. Police said he ran door-to-door, frantically looking for help and leaving a trail of blood before he finally collapsed.
Alexis Davis was one of the people who found him.
"He was laying on the ground in his blood, trying to, basically, roll over on his stomach," Davis said. "They checked his body to make sure there weren't any bullet wounds and all they found were stab wounds. Then they rushed him to the hospital and found the lady up the street."

A baby was also found inside the home but was unharmed.
Investigators told Channel 9 that around 1:08 a.m., officers responded to the Exxon gas station on Glenwood Drive, about 4 miles from the crime scene on Biesterfield Drive, after a man there called 911 saying he had just killed two people.
