LANCASTER, S.C. — A Lancaster County home was destroyed in a fire that was sparked by a moped.
Fire officials said the homeowner on Confederate Avenue was trying to start his moped when it sparked or backfired, which caught his two cars in his driveway on fire and then spread to his home.
Officials said the house is a total loss.
