Jabari Sultan Stewart was killed Jan. 4 on Stonefort Court, near Pleasant Grove Road. His death marked the fourth homicide of the year.

Police found Stewart outside, near a neighbor’s yard with a gunshot wound. They believe he was shot inside his home. He later died at the hospital.

Police have not made any arrests in the case.

The candlelight vigil starts at 7 p.m. at Marshall Park in uptown Charlotte.
