When crews got there, they said several vessels were on fire. Firefighters said they cut nearby boats loose to contain the spread of the flames and prevent the fire from devastating the marina.
According to Huntersville firefighters, the fire was under control in a little over an hour.
Fire officials said they routinely plan for marina fires. There is still no word yet on what started the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
