IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — The body of a 41-year-old man was recovered from Lake Norman Sunday evening, North Carolina wildlife officials confirmed.
Officials said Gregory Moore was tubing on the lake with friends when he fell off. Moore was not wearing a life jacket, according to NC wildlife officials.
Rescue crews searched for several hours after reports of a missing boater in Iredell County.
Officials said Denver Fire Department, Cornelius Fire Department, Sherrills Ford-Terrell Fire, Huntersville Fire and Charlotte Fire responded to the scene.
North Carolina Wildlife and Iredell County Sheriff’s Department were also at the scene.
