CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A husband has been charged with murder after his wife was found shot to death in a southeast Charlotte home Thursday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were called to a home on Langford Court around 9 a.m. and when they arrived on the scene they found a woman who had been shot.
The woman, identified as Charlene Norris, 79, was pronounced dead on scene by paramedics.
During the investigation, detectives said her husband, 82-year-old James Norris, was voluntary transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed.
Detectives then charged Norris with his wife's murder.
Police have not said what led to the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
