Uptown is the most expensive, with average monthly rent at $1,600.
Dilworth and South End took the second spot, where residents there are paying about $1,400 a month in rent.
The Elizabeth neighborhood came third, with rent also in the $1,400 range.
The good news is that rent in both uptown and Elizabeth has dropped compared to last year as developers build more apartments.
North Carolina is still considered to be affordable compared to the rest of the country. The average rent in the state is a little over $1,000, which is below the national average.
