CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two lanes of the outer loop of the Brookshire Freeway were shut down Wednesday morning because of two crashes.
Police believe that two vehicles were involved in the initial collision. A third vehicle stopped on the side of the road to help when a fourth car struck the third vehicle.
Traffic was backed up onto Independence Boulevard.
