CONCORD, N.C. — Two people managed to escape from a house fire in Concord overnight, just a few homes down from a fire that happened roughly 24 hours earlier.
Firefighters were called to the home on Clover Road Northwest around 1:30 a.m. and were able to rescue a snake and iguana from the fire.
Channel 9 could see some fire damage over the garage of the home, and fire crews said the fire was on the second floor.
Tuesday morning’s fire was just a few houses down from a fire Channel 9 reported on Monday morning.
Three people were able to get of that home unharmed.
Investigators said the cause of both fires remains under investigation but that they do not think they are suspicious, or connected.
