CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is in custody and police are searching for another following a carjacking that led to a police chase Tuesday in west Charlotte, police said.
The carjacking victim said he was robbed at gunpoint on Caronia Street before the suspects took his vehicle.
An hour later, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spotted the vehicle that fled, which started the pursuit.
The people inside the vehicle jumped and ran once they crashed on Double Oaks Road.
The crash was captured on a neighbor's home security camera.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities search for the person they said ran from the vehicle.
