CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide after a deadly shooting Saturday afternoon in east Charlotte.
CMPD said a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound at 4:16 p.m. in the parking lot at John Penn Circle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Mecklenburg EMS. He was identified as Jamale King Caple, 24.
