Company looking for partners, donations as it prepares to build home

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A local company is looking for business partners and donations of money and construction supplies as it prepares to build a home for a deserving family for the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" show.

Bellamy Homes will build a new home next week for a family in the Charlotte area. All products and labor will be donated by partnering businesses and suppliers.

Bellamy Homes is also raising funds to support the family that's getting the new house.

"We need monetary donations to give the family a great start on life in their new home," said Bellamy Homes co-owner Frank Hereda. "We're also looking for contributions to purchase needed materials to help us finish the project."

The team is selling $250 tickets to a VIP fundraising dinner with the cast of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The event will be Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. in a VIP tent at the build site.

"The VIP dinner is a chance for people in the community to meet the stars of the show and support a great cause," said Bellamy Homes co-owner Wade Miller. "All proceeds will be given to the family."

The team expects thousands of people to donate their time. The project needs laborers, food servers, cleanup workers and skilled trade professionals, as well as food donations to feed the volunteers.
